Here's my piece for Art Farm this year! It's a hand dyed/knit berret and cowl using wine from a local vineyard. I'm proud someone has bought my piece every year. :) I said this last year, but next year I hope to donate a weaving!

New Work- Summer 2011
Here's a shawl I knit for a friend's wedding completed 7/28/2011
And another shawl I wove for a different friend who got married in June. Completed in July.
Here is the piece I'm putting in Art Farm this year. My mom dyed the yarn with wine from a local winery and I knit a cowl with matching beret. The color is actually nothing like this photo, I need to take a better shot which won't happen until I see the piece at the show since they have the work in their possession now.

New Work, 2011
Last year I bought a loom! A Glimakra, Julia. I finally finished the weaving that came with it!
I've also been spinning on the wheel my aunt gave me for Christmas last year.

These two above are handspun cotton
These two above are a mixture of fibers I've accumulated from the mill
And this is also some fiber I brought home from the mill but in single ply.

Sketchbook from 2009
I realize that precisely one hour from starting writing this it will be two years old, but what the heck. This stuff makes me laugh and I hope it does you too.

Weddings
This weekend I'll be going to a wedding and the bride asked me to make this as their guestbook. When the guests come to sign they'll press their finger on a green ink pad and then make a finger print on this tree, making the leaves. Cute idea! I'll take a picture of it with all the leaves and post it later.

Art of the Garden
I haven't been posting anything because I was thinking this site was only for my fine art, well I do art as a job sometimes too! It's a site for all my art.
I've been doing photography for a new company called Art of the Garden, LLC. Their product is called "The M Brace" and it's a steel corner used for making raised garden beds for flowers, vegetables, plants etc. They use recycled metal, all made in u.s.a., and they've been featured in Sunset magazine (my name mentioned as the photo credit! click here to see the article in sunset magazine) as well as others such as Great Backyards, Hobby Farm Home, The San Francisco Chronicle and The Los Angeles Times. All but a handfull are my photography work, and their main photograph seen everywhere is done by yours truly.
You can see their website at artofthegarden.net and be sure to check out their press page (click here) where the articles are listed.
