How I See Things

I decided to post some pictures I've taken recently for inspiration. I haven't been doing any drawing for myself recently, but I do take pictures. I might as well show you the everyday beauties.

Info

Two of my pieces will be in a show this October called Art Farm. It's a show of work inspired by farms in Yolo County. Hopefully you can come see it and I'll make sure to post more information about it when it gets closer.

Logo Designs

These were designed earlier this year for a farm in Hawaii where I volunteered.
I created these with very limited tools going back and forth between Microsoft Word and Paint! Would have been different if I'd had photoshop, but because of the limited tools it completely changed my thought process of things I could do. I LOVED it when something I didn't expect happened and made it look SO much better than what I was trying to do. So, it was very spontaneous designing these.

Old Work

This is old work I found. I made it during my senior show last year (March-ish 2008) when I needed to do something else more freely without so much structure.

I'm not sure which angle I like to view it from best. I worked on it from all sides so I could have the option of hanging it any way.

Finished Piece 5/30/2009

Title: Three Places; completed: 5/30/2009

Instead of a tryptic I'm leaving it as only two pieces. I didn't want to take away from the island in the middle. I was thinking about Hawaii, the mainland and Japan.

New Art 5/20/2009

Title: (untitled for now. This is the first of three in a tryptic); completed: 5/20/2009
p.s. the matting is slightly too long for this piece. I want it cut off along the bottom about half an inch higher.
